We are new to the area and had driven by this place many times. My daughter and son in law came to visit and searched yelp for authentic Mexican food. They found this place and we decided to try it out. I am so glad we did... So delicious and very authentic. Very clean and nice people working there. We will now be regular customers ( just finished our take out order.. Yum) Try this place out..I promise you will love it!!

This is the best Mexican spot in south FL! Delicious tacos and burritos. Amazing chips and queso and homemade tortillas. Authentic and fun atmosphere. Very clean and friendly. Could eat lunch and dinner here everyday.

I am a fiend for Mexican food and as such I like to think I've tried most of what Lake worth has to offer but this place is my new burrito spot, I'm ADDICTED! I've only had the wet carnitas burrito so far and I don't know if I'll ever bring myself to try other things on the menu because I absolutely CRAVE their burritos. No A.C. so not the right place for every situation but a great spot to grab a quick inexpensive meal if that doesn't turn you off. The woman at the ordering counter is always nice and friendly and the hot sauce they serve on the side is the perfect amount of heat for me. Not my first time and definitely not my last

Simple delish, tasty, and fresh Mexican food...and I'm picky... Everything is made to order. The owners are friendly. Great for takeout or eating on the patio.

This was one our favorite finds! Amazing authentic MEXICAN food, extremely friendly staff, and clean. The tacos were among my favorite. We will be back to try the rest of the menu. I highly recommend!! Don't pass this place up.

We have been looking for a really good Mexican place for awhile. I saw this place on yelp and read the reviews. They were all very good, so we decided to try it out for ourselves. The place is kinda in no mans land. What I mean by that is their is not anything around except a small gas station. It's on the east side of the road and painted bright lime green. But it's still easy to miss cause, it is on a bend in the road. So we park and go to the door, it's only a closed in patio. That's fine with us , I like sitting out side. The patio has a roof and the walls are screened in and cover with lattics. The tables are the heavy concrete out door style, with benches. They have a huge menu broad by the order window. This is kinda fast food style service. We looked at he menu and placed our orders. I got the 2 gringo beef tacos and kelly got carne asada dinner. I asked what beer do they have , they said none. Normally that would cost a star , we got ice tea in a can. Our total was $18.42 not bad. We could see in the window it's a husband and wife team. Kelly saw her pressing out the tortillas. That's a good sign of things to come we thought. We can see that this is homemade fresh food. The food came out pretty quickly and looked and smelled awesome. I toke a bit of my taco with their homemade hot sauce on it and wow it was soo good. Their sauce doesn't taste hot at first, but by the second bite it will hit you.. lol Kelly started eating her food and started making sounds of pleasure. She said that it's totally awesome and wouldn't give me a bite... Lol We both said the only down fall of the place is no beer. But the food is unbelievably good, totally homemade and fresh. We will be going here many ,many times again.

FYI, as of 8/24/2015, they were temporarily closed as they move to a new location.

AMAZING! Your typical mom and pop type of place. I've only tried their tacos, but holy hell are they good. I got the barbacoa, asada, and shrimp tacos. I had trouble picking my favorite, but I think the shrimp edged out just a little bit. I'm not sure how their breakfast works, since their breakfast menu says "until 11am" but they open at 11am. Regardless, I look forward to eating here again and trying other things on the menu. Definitely a must if you're ever in the area!

Yum! Our favorite spot. We get the gringo tacos- crunchy/ beef. Make sure to pour the little orange salsa on top- 1 per taco! We also get the chimichanga- steak. Don't forget the delicious chips and salsa!

How lucky to find this amazing spot less than a mile from us. However this is one place that is worth the drive. The owners are so friendly and the place is clean. It has a totally authentic feel because you sit in an open air screened patio. The food is authentic also. You can get the American version of tacos, but don't. Try the tacos made with a homemade tortilla, onion, cilantro, lime, jalapeño and any choice of the meats. The platters and combos are good values. Ingredients are so fresh! Chips and guacamole are awesome - I was scraping every last bit up.

Great Spot for Tacos! We have BIG love for Tacos and Mexican Food - so when we see a a place selling tacos we almost always stop. This is a little hidden jem in Lake Worth. It's a very bright, divey building on an unassuming corner. We had actually driven by many times not actually realizing what it was! Well now we know and so glad we do! We've tried the Tacos, Pupusas, Gorditas, Guac and of course the Fresh Homemade Juices. So lets start with the Tacos - First I had to giggle because on the menu they have 'Tacos' and 'Gringo Tacos' - nice they are telling you, YES we know the difference and have Traditional Tacos :) So, we've tried all the meats - and all are good BUT, I highly recommend the Barbacoa - by far the best one! The tortillas are fresh and homemade - you can tell they put some extra love in these tortillas, they are thicker then the traditional ones, but make the absolute perfect taco. I love Pupusas and Gorditas - both were excellent, again ordering with barbacoa. Also, the Tamarind and Horchata juices were very refreshing. The space is a total dive - which I love! And the staff has been very friendly at each visit. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the ordering/serving process is kind of awkward. You place your order at a window - then when it's ready they ring a bell and kind of point at you to come pick it up and not everything is always served at the same time. Its a minor thing and easily overlooked for the quality of the food and the inexpensive prices. So glad we finally found a go-to place for tacos - that is close to home!

Great food! Delicious, fresh and authentic food! It's hard to find real Mexican food that is hot and fresh! I do recommend this place. Good job!

Found this place using Yelp so I wanted to give back. It's not fancy (disposable plates and plastic utensils) and it's (covered but) open air dining but the FOOD IS REALLY, REALLY GOOD! Family of 4: chicken fajitas (split), pork burrito (wet), chicken quesadillas, chips/salsa, & chips/queso with 4 drinks - about $35. Looks like a husband & wife team. From what I could tell the kitchen was very clean. Simple but fantastic! Highly recommended!

Food was ok.....Got really hot sitting in the tent that they have... It's a shame they do not have air conditioned seating for customers. The Chef was extremely pleasant.... However eating sizzling fajitas in 90 degree weather isn't an easy task.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in the tri county area - beats many others on taste and food presentation. The only downside is the location, but worth the 80 mile drive to get there. I wish them the best of luck - they have the best shrimp tacos ever. I have literally had everything on the menu...twice.

Another authentic, open-air Mexican restaurant. So far I'm a big fan of this one, including its bright green walls. Tacos were really delicious--a little on the small side, but the tortillas were handmade. Can't wait to go back and try the gorditas.

Can't miss the lime green building and open air patio, The service was quick, the food is well prepared and tasty. On our first visit we had tacos, pork burrito, and a chicken quesadilla. More things to try on our next visit... and we will be back!

Beans & rice had no flavor... I was sad about that, but everything else was good! I had a shrimp soft taco(flour tortilla) which GAVE ME LIFE... Lol... I also had soft chicken tacos..... Guacamole w/warm chips was everything.... It's real close and reasonable... I will definitely be going back!!! The lady at the window was helpful and polite as well.....

I very rarely leave reviews but was extremely impressed with this place--authentic food at its best. My wife and i shared tacos (Barbacoa & vegetarian), a chicken burrito, and chips/queso. Food was fresh, hot, and very good--portions were on he smaller side but I would highly recommend trying if you are looking for authentic tacos!

Very yummy. Stopped on the way home from the beach. Got a few tacos and a veggie chimichanga, filled with fresh veggies and cheese, very delicious. Got a side of guacamole for the tacos, definitely recommend doing that. Quick service as well. Will be back!!

This place is amazing. I am mexican and grew up eating authentic mexican food so I know good mexican food. This place reminds me of my moms homemade mexican food. My favorite is the shredded beef sopes...mmmmmhhh!!! But everything I've tried there has been really good. My husband and I go there at least twice a week. Just so everyone knows you will be sitting outside in an open air patio. Someone mentioned the ordering process if awkard because you order at a window and when the food is ready they ring a bell but thats how they do it in mexico in a lot of corner restaurants! I dont think its akward at all. The staff is very friendly and down to earth. If you like Tacos al Carbon( I personally don't) you will definitley like this place! Definitley more authentic and tasty!

Found this place through Yelp. Stopped for dinner. Order at the counter, sit in the screened in eating area (nice concrete tables) and pick up the food when it's ready. Chips and salsa were good but pricey. Tacos and Burrito for dinner. Tacos: barbacoa and carnitas and burrito: barbacoa. Tacos were good but the burrito had little meat, all beans and rice. More of a place for lunch than dinner.

Ambiance is lacking and no liquor license ( would be nice to have a cold cervesa) but food is made to order and really excellent.

I happened to be driving by and noticed this colorful building. Entrance is a little misleading. Its not the door to the entrance but the side door to the screened in patio. I ordered the chilaquiles verdes with chicken and a Barbacoa taco. Boy was I impressed. The Chilaquiles dish was beautifully presented, the flavors popped, I added some of their homemade chilli sauce to it and it was utterly delicious. The taco was equally good, the tortilla lightly grilled, good quality beef, very flavorful! The husband and wife team that own this place were extremely helpful in explaining the dishes. The husband is the chef and definitely knows what he is doing. Very authentic fresh delicious Mexican food. The best I have had in a long time! I will definitely be back!!

Went for lunch today with the family. All the food was excellent!! We tried the chicken and the pork(carnitas) quesadillas, the chicken flautas, carnitas burrito, chicken gringo taco, and carnitas tacos. Everything was cooked to order and was hot and fresh! Order at a window, seating is on a coveted patio with character. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have fresh brewed iced tea (ordering sweet tea and getting a can of brisk is a bit of a disappointment). Recommended to anyone looking for a casual pit stop for some Mexican food.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
